Biography of Tebogo “AusTebza” Sedumedi


Born in Krugersdorp and bred in Mafikeng, AusTebza, her stage name in the industry, is a vibrant, energetic and passionate musician.

An instrumentalist, with the Bass as her first love, her music career started after her parents couldn’t afford to pay for her university fees. She then went to join the music department at the Mmabana Cultural & Arts Centre in Mafikeng.

She became a lead singer for one of the bands at the institution and later on started her own female band. This is where she discovered her love for Bass.

Her perseverance and hard work in her craft, attracted some of the most established artists in the South African music industry, and ultimately started working with some of them.

Amongst some of the artist she has worked with, whether in performances or recordings, include:

Her immense talent and hard work has also been spotted by some of the production teams that host various TV or Live Music concerts. As a result, she has been part of the production of the South African Music Awards and Channel O Awards, and also played her role as an instrumentalist on the TV productions of “The Respect Show with HHP” on SABC 1 and “Afro Café” on SABC 2.


Dubbed “The Bass Queen” by her peers and fans alike, it is certain that, a lot more is still expected of her, especially as she works towards kick-starting her solo career. A number of singles have been released thus far, as an appetiser to music lovers. Her debut album, Make A Diiference is waiting to be indulged upon.
